Made in Brazil
Made in Brazil is a brazilian rock band of São Paulo, is the bands rock and roll oldest operating in Brazil because of its longevity. And an importance in the rock scene of the 70s, it is considered a legend of the genre.
The band was formed in 1967 in the Pompeia neighborhood, in the city of São Paulo by the brothers Oswaldo Vecchione and Celso Vecchione.
In 1974 they recorded their debut album, Made in Brazil, by RCA Victor, known as “banana disc” (because it featured the design of a banana on the main cover), considered one of the best Brazilian rock records of the 1970s, it brought a vigorous rock and with vocals very well elaborated by Cornélius Lucifer). This album also features drummer Rolando Castello Junior, who would soon form the Space Patrol.
In 1975, his second studio album, Jack, O Estripador , was released, with Percy Weiss on vocals and Ezequiel Neves in production, which included the songs “Jack o Estripador”, “When Spring Arrives”, “Batatinhas”, among others. In the same year they participate in the collection Implosão do Rock.
