Brigada do Ódio
Brigada do Ódio, a band formed in Mauá, SP in 1983 in the year 1983 by 4 boys, among them Luís who already showed signs that he would become a pioneer of grindcore. For a while, Luís dedicated himself to making songs that had a note just so as not to “waste” time or speed in changing the note. Despite being apparently forgotten in time, the Hate Brigade was remembered by the supposed creators of “Grindcore”, Napalm Death. When they were in São Paulo for the first time, the bass player had a Brigada do Ódio sticker on his bass. The fact is that the band had a chance to record their sound because of the São Paulo band Olho Seco, which was already famous and called them to do a “Split” in 1985 that contained songs from both bands. Differentiating a lot from the sound proposal made by Olho Seco, which despite being aggressive and loud has an aesthetic similar to the punk of the time, very based on the band Discharge. Brigada do Ódio tries to do something really chaotic, where little is understood of the rhythm and nothing of the lyrics after all, as they say, the idea of grindcore is not to make music but to destroy it.
