In 1979 H\u00e9lio meets a guy who had a broken guitar, playing old rock songs at S\u00e3o Bento Metro Station. It was Redson Pozzi. At the time, the S\u00e3o Bento Station was the meeting point for S\u00e3o Paulo rockers of all stripes, ranging from hard rock to punk.\r\n\r\nH\u00e9lio presents to Redson the effervescence of the punk scene of Vila Carolina , the epicenter of Brazilian punk.\r\n\r\nThey decide to make a band and finally H\u00e9lio has his chance to be a guitar player, Redson takes over the Bass and his brother \"Pierre\" Carlos Lopes Pozzi comes to the drums even without having a real one. Later Kinno comes on vocals.\r\n\r\nAt first the band's name was meant to be Alcatraz in honor of a Nazareth song but Redson convinces H\u00e9linho that Cholera is a name with multiple meanings and is also international\r\n\r\nColera was not necessarily a punk band, it played blues and maybe had some intention of doing hard-rock. In addition to being a band looking for a musical style, it was also a band looking for its text.\r\n\r\nRedson was already a creative engine, and his lyrics dealt with his adolescent imagination but already brought his versatility when marrying text and music. Helio, on the other hand, was still influenced by the rustic existentialism of Vila Carolina and his lyrics brought a little of the ideas of the Conductor of the Corpse .
