The band's second album,\u00a0<i>A Rush of Blood to the Head<\/i>\u00a0(2002), was released to critical acclaim and won awards including\u00a0<i>NME<\/i>'s Album of the Year. Their next release,\u00a0<i>X&amp;Y<\/i>, the best-selling album worldwide in 2005, received mostly positive reviews, though some critics felt it was inferior to its predecessor. Their fourth studio album,\u00a0<i>Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends<\/i>\u00a0(2008), was produced by\u00a0Brian Eno\u00a0and released to largely positive reviews, earning several\u00a0Grammy Award\u00a0nominations and wins at the\u00a051st Grammy Awards.<sup id=\"cite_ref-USAgram08_6-0\" class=\"reference\"><\/sup>\u00a0In October 2011, Coldplay released their fifth studio album,\u00a0<i>Mylo Xyloto<\/i>, which topped the charts in over 34 countries, was the UK's best-selling rock album of 2011, and received mixed to positive reviews.<sup id=\"cite_ref-NME2012_7-0\" class=\"reference\"><\/sup>\u00a0In May 2014, they released their sixth album,\u00a0<i>Ghost Stories<\/i>, which also received mixed to positive reviews and topped several national album charts. In December 2015, the band released their seventh album,\u00a0<i>A Head Full of Dreams<\/i>, which reached the top two in most major markets, but received generally mixed reviews.\r\n\r\nColdplay have\u00a0won 85 awards from 252 nominations\u00a0throughout their career, including nine\u00a0Brit Awards, six\u00a0MTV Video Music Awards, seven\u00a0MTV Europe Music Awards\u00a0and\u00a0seven Grammy Awards\u00a0from 32 nominations. They have sold more than 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the\u00a0world's best-selling music artists.<sup id=\"cite_ref-8\" class=\"reference\"><\/sup>\u00a0In December 2009,\u00a0<i>Rolling Stone<\/i>\u00a0<i>Magazine<\/i>\u00a0readers voted the group the fourth-best artist of the 2000s.<sup id=\"cite_ref-MTV2009_9-0\" class=\"reference\"><\/sup>\u00a0Coldplay have supported various social and political causes, such as\u00a0Oxfam's\u00a0Make Trade Fair\u00a0campaign and\u00a0Amnesty International.
